Isolation

Isolation is an usual but interesting way to source ideas. This is in no way a scientific exercise or indeed a true definitive formula to follow here, but hopefully you can see by the examples in the video above it’s a powerful technique to start looking at anything visual in a different way.

Whilst everyone else is watching the character, what catches your eye in the background? In our examples we’re viewing game walkthroughs but really this can be applied to virtually anyting visual especially films and TV shows.
